Bush would ignite more excitement than rubio, paul, or any other republican candidate out there, IMO.

But would the Tea Party vote for him?

He would carry Florida which is more than McCain and Romney have been able to accomplish.

Jeb was an outstanding Governor in Florida and the Florida GOP has been begging him to run for the Senate since he termed out. He is still very popular here and well respected. He has spent his recent years being very involved in Education reforms.

His advantage over all other candidates is that he has the Bush family political machine at his disposal. It is the only legitimate political organization that can give Hillary Clinton a run.

I really think that Jeb Bush is the only person who has a legitimate shot at beating Clinton in 2016. The Tea Party had better realize this and start supporting a candidate who can win and no be spoilers yet again.

Just my $ 0.02 on this issue.

The Tea Party would hate him in the primary and begrudgingly vote for him in the general. They'd probably like him a little more than Romney, but not much. The difference between Jeb and Romney, is that independents will hate Jeb thanks to his last name. Combine independents with Tea Party apathy, but with the possibility of taking Florida, and you have a setup for a very close loss electorally, but a blood bath population wise.

When are people going to get their head out of their asses and quit dreaming that a great conservative is going to come riding in on a white horse and win a presidential election?

I agree. The Tea Party needs to realize that what this country needs is another Bush or Clinton in the White House.

Bush is a nice man...but nowhere near what will be required to face down the AUTHORITARIAN SOCIALIST rogues like the Obama machine.

I want to see somebody up on that stage that will virtually DISMEMEBER the whole Authoritarian Statist MSM meme and bring out the whole Conservative base. They ought to shame and ACCUSE the Dems straight up of crashing both healthcare and the economy...and give a DIRE WARNING of what is right ahead if the debt-sponsored spending isn't shut down...and promise to take the chains off this Cloward-Piven economy.

And that aint Bush. He's a wuss!

Bush ain't that guy.

Jeb is the same as GWB on the left-right scale.
He's a better speaker than his brother. Both were governors of large states and did very well.

But he is certainly not a 'shrink govt' guy.

FIFY

Reagan beat the shite out of his opponents by convincing voters he was right, not by moderating.

This strategy has been sorely missed since. From GHWB on, and even going back to Ford and Nixon, 'moderates' were supposedly the ones to hand the GOP victories. We see how well that turned out... every fricking time. Even GWB was a 'moderate' with his "compassionate conservatism" bullshite. And he BARELY won against fricking Al Gore.

When someone steps up to the mic and doesn't play the game, Americans respond. That's why Christie was so popular for a while... until everybody saw that he's just another big gubment Republican.

You don't win by joining your opponents. You win by convincing them.

No elite-controlled puppet is going to do that. But if it makes you feel better to hear someone say it, well keep living in a dream world America.

Nope. You win by convincing the elite that you are the best candidate to do their bidding.

Another Bush would equal another term or two of kicking the can down the road, all the while growing government even bigger.

What good would that do, if he wins?

It isn't enough for "republicans", the "GOP", or "The Tea Party" to win the election.

We have to win the election with the right person who will prevent us from going over the financial cliff. That isn't going to happen with a Bush in office.
