Saw this article breaking down exactly how the top WR prospects were earning their living.

THE JUICE IS LOOSE!

One thing toward the end blew my mind: Jarvis Landry's drop percentage.

quote:

Here are the drop rates for each of the WRs. I defined drops as balls that were easy receptions and likely bounced off the hands of a WR, not passes that a WR ‘could have caught’ with an acrobatic play.

quote:

- I only have 2 dropped balls for Landry all season, that’s incredible.

That is ridiculous.

The fact he made numerous acrobatic catches makes those two drops seem unacceptable.

He's a motherfricking steal anywhere outside of the 1st round IMO

aisde from the arkansas catches this and last year, the one he made @ UGA this year going up between 3 guys and catching a bullet for a huge first and goal was insane. Even though we lost that game, it was incredible to watch Mett, Beckham, and JL work.

One of those drops was the Ole Miss game, and he clearly wasn't 100% because of the ankle sprain the week before.

Yep I knew he was gonna be a great one. Been my favorite since he was killing auburn's special teams in 2011. I still remember them hits. Loud.

I hope he falls to a later round just so I can see him have a multi-year career with the Saints

I would have no problems. Even while learning the position and play book more he can always level people on kick returns. However I would prefer ODB for the Saints even though Landry was my favorite Tiger in years. Add some speed and return ability.

If he doesn't go in the first round, a lot of teams are going to feel like they did when they left Keenan Allen on the table til the third round. They sighted his speed as a weakness, well that speed didn't need to be there as he recorded 71 catches for 1046 yards and 8 TDs as a rookie!

I think Landry is a mix between Hines Ward and Antonio Brown and would love Pittsburgh to pick him up round one or two.

I hear comparisons to Anquan Boldin, but honestly, I see him as more of a Wes Welker type. Just so sure-handed and scrappy as a receiver.

But Juice is in a league of his own. We'll see if that continues in the NFL, but this kid is a freak, and any team that wants a slot/possession receiver and overlooks Landry is probably going to be a team like Oakland or Jacksonville who can't even wipe their asses without making a poor decision.

As long as we're throwing out comparisons. I've been thinking for a while now that he reminds of a cross between Cris Carter and Hines Ward. Ward for the obvious reason that he will just light a MoFo up and Carter because he has some of the best hands I've ever seen. Two drops all year is just ridiculous. It's a joke if he doesn't go in the first two rounds.
