I am drawing a blank on why they call Jerry/Gary Larry now?

Also was funny last night when he was giving a heartfelt farewell to Ann and she looked annoyed and Ron said his few words and she started crying.

from wiki:

quote:

There has been much controversy over the spelling of Jerry's name. His name is believed to be spelled "Jerry", as it is on NBC.com. [14] Although, in Telethon it is shown spelled "Gerry", this was taken as a misspelling and another joke at Jerry's expense, as his last name was misspelled as well ("Grgich"). In Time Capsule, his full name is said to be Gerald, as it is read from his mother's journal. In season four, it is twice stated that Jerry's real name is Garry, but since his first boss misheard him, he goes by Jerry. In season 6 everyone has taken to calling him Larry.

If I remember correctly, it's because they felt weird calling him Jerry after he came back from his retirement, so they created a new name for him.

April sarcastically called him Larry and everyone just ran with it like Jerry

I think it had to do with someone writing the wrong name on the board when trying to see which employees to keep after the Eagleton merger.

As usual, you killed it last night

"I shook his hand...twice...anything more is excessive."

"Chris, salt water warps the wood....So keep your tears in your eyes, where they belong"

I have another question. How much does a deputy parks director haul in. Leslie has to make a killing with all the gifts and extravagance she does.

Considering her actions, she is likely very corrupt and raking in $$$ from financial kickbacks.

She's become a lot more annoying recently. More overtly liberal, and just downright depressing.

All of the characters are too extreme versions of themselves now.

For example Gerry was funny when people gave him shite for no reason, now that they made him an actual bumbling fool I just feel bad for him being laughed at.

Isn't there a term for this phenomenon?

It happens on every show that lasts.

Somewhat dumb characters go completely retarded.
Offbeat characters become ridiculous.
And so on.
