Any of you construction PMs use software other than basic Excel/Project to manage your schedules, do cost projections, etc?

Wondering about MS Project Server in particular.

We've had some clients ask for Primavera schedules, but as a company we've resisted going to that.

Does it do any sort of portfolio management across projects? For example, say you had 100 projects going, will it give a view of all the ones that have slipped?

Thanks for saying what not to do.

We've got our accounting software already.

We use Milestone PM, but I can't speak to its effectiveness because our project managers are worthless employees

Ok but what's so great about it?
Does it do management of the entire project portfolio on a server?

Easy to learn for people who use Project?
