The team has plenty of reasons to doubt them, but this stat makes them look like a solid contender.

No James Harden tonight. I'd be curious to know the Rockets record without him this year. Better ball movement unfortunately.

Playoffs is when it will matter.

Not discounting the rockets, but the spurs don't wake up until may.

In the West, teams need to be awake just to make the playoffs. The Spurs have a solid record.

They do, but they have not been impressive against the top tier teams.

The spurs were without 3 starters for tonight's game. You can read all you want to in a win, but it won't mean shite if the Rockets bow out in the first round.

The spurs are like 1-13 against the top 8 teams.

I like our chances against the Spurs if Borris Diaw is taking 20 shots a game

The Spurs are one of the only teams whose regular season performances or lack thereof mean absolutely nothing

The Spurs play their stars very limited minutes. Regular season means zero.

Glad to see you're using Father San Antonio as your measuring stick.

Yes, I went there

'grats on the dubs. See y'all in the postseason. HOU is the only team in the entire West to have avoided being victimized by a Duncan Spurs team in the postseason, and I, for one, would like to remedy that

Agreed...it's a shame the Rockets and Spurs haven't matched up before. I may not want to see that this year.

...but if it meant seeing Dwight Howard implode against Splitter, I am down.

History has taught us never to be too certain about anything when the Spurs are involved.

This. I remember the Spurs.were starting to slip late last season (April, not January) and even then they got to the finals. Lillard and co. hung something like 136 @ SA. Most ever. And this was a team that won 33 games.

No doubt the Spurs will look.better, healthy, come playoffs. This is January. Not even all star break. Remember how "good" the Knicks were after the all star break? They exited in the second round.
