Many have sno, many have no sno.

Ones with sno should have lower attic temps and thus maybe higher house temps, better insulation.

Ones with no sno should have warmer attic temps and lower house temps, better insulation ?

Carports/garages typically have more roof sno cause no insulation, no ?

What say you ?

I need another Captain and diet coke ...

Anyone who uses the word "sneaux" should have their nuts clapped shut in a mousetrap.

There has to be a correlation between houses that have sno/ice on roofs and those that don't.

Neaux ?

Could be also how much shade they are getting, which way they are facing, how much sunlight they are getting, etc.

Could be too many factors to measure than to just boil it all down to insulation only.

The correlation is effectiveness of the insulation. Less effective means heat escapes to attic, which makes ice buildup in roof more difficult.

Took me a few times but I get it. You're saying the presence of sno, or lack thereof, could be an indicator on the level of insulation any given house has.

So less insulation means less ice on roof, no ?
