He single handedly won me my week 2 fantasy match up in 2010. I support his cause.

Yep. At the place where his major concussion history started.

He is just going to say he is doing it so he can help teach them safer ways to play

Ok so what i've gathered from today is that td.com both hates unions and when players sue. So basically y'all think players (and workers in general) should STFU and accept substandard conditions? I really don't understand the thought process. it sounds like you want to go back to the early 1900's when there was little to no worker protections at all.

Are you telling me today's players are not aware of the possibility of concussions of playing football? No one is forcing them to play in the NFL. They are very well compensated for engaging in dangerous work.

Masses on TD.com believe child labor laws interfere with every kid's right to enter into a contract.

Are you suggesting that Best wasn't aware of potential risks of playing NFL football. He played in 2012, not 1960. I'm also interested in hearing about the substandard conditions Best had to accept. Seems to me like NFL players get the best of the best when it comes to medical treatment.

Goddamn yall are jumping to some insane examples that have nothing to do with this thread

This lawsuit is frivolous and dishonest given his new occupation

But somehow knowing that makes me a woman hating racist i support of no child labor laws or workers rights.

that's for the courts to decide.

when i played high school football in the late 90's my teammates and i had no conception of a concussion being as damaging as they are now. I know Best came up after that but if he can show that the NFL knew or should have known about the breadth of concussion science and suppressed it or failed to make reasonable adjustments to the game and the education of players then yeah he should get paid.

He also suffered a severe concussion at Cal, but has not sued them or the NCAA. Instead, he will be working at Cal, and therefore be a member of the NCAA.

Is this a joke? How can you make an argument for a union? How is the nfl liable for this guys concussion issue when he clearly had pre existing conditions from before?

He knowingly went into the game and was compensated for his work. At no point was he forced to do anything and it wasnt like he didnt know the dangers as he has had plenty of experience with concussions

Why isnt he suing Cal?

His high school?

His parents?

Himself?
