well, I don't believe you are going to find any "cheap" plumbers in B R - especially right now - most of them are just finishing up with the last freeze and the one coming looks like it could be pretty bad.

Why not just buy a new one, takes about 10 mins to replace.

And you can usually get one for under $100. It wuold cost more to hire the plumber than to just do it yourself. Turn the power off to it, unhook the unit from the sink on the little triangle attachment point. Hardwire the new one, and put it back on where you took the other off. This is maybe a 20 minute deal, and that includes unboxing the new one, and carrying the old one out to the trash.

Hex Wrench in bottom. Check reset button. Still not working. replace or throw scraps over fence.

Stick a broom handle into the disposal and try to break free the movement.

Something as small as a rock or chicken bones could jam the disposal.

Well, it's a big job. You've got to dismantle the latch hasp from the auxiliary drainage line.
