Looking for suggestions of a new show to crack out to on Netflix or Amazon(Free). I've watched HIMYM, Suits, Psych, Blue Collar and loved them all. I tried Breaking Bad and Dexter but it didn't do it for me as I am looking to wind down at night.

Can you share anything good?

What I always post in these threads:

Battlestar Galactica. It's complete so you can watch it all the way through. It's brilliant, it's a political war drama on the backdrop of an interstellar cat and mouse game in a science fiction universe.

Pure gold.

But your "likes," seem to be lighter, with that said:

honestly based off your likes and dislikes I don't think mad men is for you. if you didn't enjoy breaking bad it is highly unlikely you would like mad men. just my opinion

Chuck is a lot like Psych in many ways, from pop culture references, to character interactions being more important than the plot. If you liked Psych you should definitely try Chuck. I'm not sure if it will help you wind down, but Fringe is also worth watching.

Show made me feel like I was tripping. Or what I think tripping would feel like...

Yea, I'm looking for some light wind down television.

I'm not much of a Sci-Fi person, but I love the premise you describe, is the Sci-FI component really strong, or more of a setting for the story?

This is a pretty good description of Chuck. Seriously, watch it. It is an easy to love show.

battlestar galactica is my all time favorite series. the sci fi is more of the setting that the actual driving force behind the show. it can definitely be appreciated by non sci fi aficionados

Setting. Setting Setting. Don't let it turn you off.

I would HIGHLY suggest it, just for the quality. It's a heavy show though. It just depends on your mood.

his desire of a wind down show makes me hesitant to push BSG on him. it's not really suited for that purpose
