So apparently it's popular to crap on the basketball team.

Well this was one of the few games on national tv. Of course more people are going to watch and have opinions.

It's typical of our fan base. When we win, hooray! If we lose, then the team or the coaches or certain players or all need to do something different or get fired. Many of our fans seem to take personally the fact that a loss occurs as if it's costing them something dear.
My screen name is derivative of those in our fan base who won't be happy unless LSU teams win every game in every sport for the rest of time.

fwiw I don't think he's talking so much about the people who complain about a coach or player. Even though there aren't many fans that watch every game every year, some of them have some very valid points about coaches and players that when we lose those points stand out.
I think he's talking about the cheer if we win but if basketball is bad they just shite on it in general.
example is much of baton rouge/lsu fans will cheer in lsu makes a deep run.

Shove it Choupique! The players you named are two juniors and two seniors. What you think all basketball players are one and done and on to the NBA? I predicted this team to go 11-7 in the SEC which they are well within reach to do. That's not a bad record in conference which you late to game idiots don't realize. SEC road games are almost always tough games to win. Grow up and go back to dreaming about next years football team.

We're all disappointed. But damn, people need some perspective. Like the blowhard saying "smart bb people had LSU as an NCAAT lock." Da fuk?
JJ needs to do some work, for sure. But it was optimism about potential that gave NCAAT hope to followers. As we all see now, this is still a work in progress.

At worst people had us as a bubble team going into year and picked 4th in the SEC.
Right now we are I think 6 or 7th and the meat of our schedule is coming up. Letting two wins get away is killer. Letting those wins get away with the RI loss just leaves us with no room for error to even stay on the bubble talk that was predicted for us.
And the media panel that voted us 4th saw something that made them think we had the pieces. As of right now it looks like the team is in the process of underachieving. But you can get hot in basketball and thats all we can hope for

I love this team. Which is why it's so painful to watch us lose such a winnable game.
The future is bright but there's opportunity to make some hay this year and we're squandering it.
That's what is upsetting me.
I'll say this...we beat Kentucky Tuesday and we'll be right where I expected us to be in SEC play anyway, at this point.....4-3. So let's do that and CJJ has a clean slate and let's go from there.
