did you know, the Pels only get outscored by 2 points on average in the 3rd? we actually get outscored more in the 2nd quarter than in the 3rd on average.

It really sucks when people bring up facts. Just so you know.

Yeah, but if you complain often and emphatically, that counts.

It's fun to watch some of these folks hop scotch through facts so they can poorly support and point rather than just look at the team and try to understand what is happening.

How about complaining about the turnovers leading to easy shots or free throws? How about the heavy offensive rebounding allowed and subsequent putbacks?

No... "Coaching."

Yep. The defense was porous, of course, and there were lots of dumb fouls, of course. But the TOs and 17 OREB really fueled Detroit. 15 TOs through 3, only 3 in the 4th. Really good coaching in the 4th or players playing better ball?

Edit:

Pelicans win on the road without Anderson, Holiday, Evans and with only 29 pts combined from Davis/Gordon and some are upset with the coaching?

For most of us, Monty is like COPD. He's just making it hard for us to breathe. We've lost faith it him.

I guess Cheeks was worried about Monty setting up his defense. Maybe that's why he never called a timeout?

Some psychologist refer to it as the confirmation bias...
What's right 1/5 times proves anybody's point

I get it. Monty problems are real and he wasnt perfect last night, but I saw good things too. Elevator Doors for Morrow made me very happy.

Aside from being a reach for blaming the coach when players miss layups, have dumb TOs and fouls, I'm not sure you can blame him for 30-4 run and not praise him for the 2nd or 4th quarter runs that won the game

Why Cheeks didnt call a TO- no clue. They aren't tanking. Just an incredibly dumb moment from Cheeks, his staff, and the players on the floor.

Interesting to see how little Monroe played v a poor Pelicans frontcourt.

Neither of these are weaknesses of ours. Stupid defensive scheme and personnel decisions like having Stiemsma on the court are.

Tell me more about the defensive scheme, please.
