Will this even be possible? I know a few portions of the interestate in Ascension parish are closed right now. What time are they supposed to open? How long would it take for the commute?

As long as it stays around 30 degrees you're screwed. Go back to sleep.

I have the same problem. I have a meeting there around 1 pm and I am wondering how awful it is going to be trying to get there

Try Airline Hwy. It's how the old timers used to get to NOLA. Add maybe 20 minutes to your commute.

If there is some ice, get out the car and play football with other drivers.

Good God, does Louisiana just shut down once the temperature dips to 32 °F?
