Why are schools closing? Major snowstorm expected?

We could close schools once a week or 2 now with the way the weather has been.

It's a little silly.

Schools have to close because buses cannot run. If one were to get into a fender bender someone would sue out there minds for letting drivers out when they arent used to driving in icy conditions.

Damn, I remember waiting for the bus in South Mississippi when it was 18 degrees. Closing the school wasn't even mentioned unless there was snow.

In 6th grade it snowed while we were at school, and there was no plan to cancel before that day even when forecasted.

I wish we got days off like this.

The low is only 29 tomorrow????

That is how I remember it. School went on unless it actually started snowing and was forecast to actually stick and accumulate on the roads. I remember several days when we went to school then got sent home during the day after looking out the window to see if it was actually sticking to the pavement and roads so we could go.
