Scout has Williams listed as a "soft verbal" along with Clark and Godchaux.

Anybody know anything? Still interested in Arizona State? Would love to keep him in this class along with LF. Dude is a beast.

Still taking visits. Tennesee is going after him pretty hard. He almost committed there at one point.

Tenn fans weren't happy when he committed here.

Apparently having some second thoughts about being in Fournette's shadow, but LSU seems to be his dream school, so I think LSU hangs on to him.

Scout's policy is that anyone taking visits is listed as a soft verbal

whenever a recruit takes 'other' visits and is committed to a team they are classified as a soft verbal. it means nothing.

This is surprising seeing when taking into account how much he reportedly wanted an LSU offer. Thought he would've shut it down after he got what he wanted.

He knew the staff was all in for LF the whole time so I doubt that would be a factor.

The push apparently is coming from his family who want him to be sure he is making the right decision. I believe the kid wants to be at LSU no matter what.

If anyone is taking visits, scout list them as soft. They always have.

But I still don't get it. Both these guys were on record saying they wanted the LSU offer bad. Godchaux got his, didn't committ, got injured, then committed. Now he wants to take visits. As if LSU is just a back up plan and committed because he was afraid people would back off because of injury.

Williams, or at least his coach, wasn't happy we slow played him and at one point was uga, then tenn then asu. He gets his offer, doesn't like it, Wilson clears things up, then boo goes, then he committs. Now he's still taking visits.

You'd think both of these guys would have done everything to get into this class but here they are shopping around. You just can't believe anything these kids say. Yeah I get the whole taking visits and seeing what's out there, but why commit then? Why say LSU is dream offer then push it aside? This is just going to get worse until they allow an early signing period for all prospects, not just ee's.

I don't want to hear the BS that other schools won't roll out the red carpet if they were committed to other schools. LSU is trying to flip committed prospects. You think we told speaks or valentine to shove off cus they gave commitments elsewhere?

I keep seeing people say an early signing period will somehow fix this problem. If Godchaux and Williams are taking visits now, what makes you think they would have signed early, if they had the option?

If that were only true.

Or, he's looking around bit thinks "still being committed" allows him the luxury of doing that without risking anything.

I don't have any knowledge of the situation, but the biggest threat before his commitment was Florida, which is not where he's looking to visit. I kinda think he's just a kid from Plaquemine that would like to travel a little and see new things while being treated royally. With that said, I understand the trepidation after the way this year has gone.

Yeah, im sure his trepidation is pushing him to the wonderful programs at Fla and aTm.....wonder how the lat year went for them....Tenn and asu had great years as well......yep i am convinced now that any recruit would not want to be part of a program that wins at least 10 every year.

I think he's just taking visits. Him and Fournette want to play together.

Williams can have a big career at LSU. The SEC is way too physical for only one back to take all the carries. You do not have to get all of the carries to win a Heisman or be first team All American or All SEC.
