Lack of games for XBONE. Has it been this bad at launch?

So I am still playing my 360, but I visited my brother for the weekend who got an Xbone. He has COD:Ghosts, but I convinced him to go to the store and get Forza 5.
When looking at the selection of Xbone games, I was appalled to see that the only games that were worth a damn were COD:Ghosts, BF4, and Forza 5. Are these really the premier games for this new console? Two of them were built and released for older consoles, and Forza 5 was the pure sex.
Did previous console launches come with such a small and shite selection of games?

Pretty sure ryse was another premier game and yes it's pretty much always like this at launch

DR3 has gotten great feedback, FWIW, but I'm pretty sure all launches are like this.

I guess I forgot about a few of these launch titles such as Ryse. Wal-mart's selection must have just been shite.

I would be fckking pissed. I'm pissed for purchasing the PS4 at launch and looking at my 1 game, Shadowfall. It isn't going to get better anytime soon, not many great titles coming up in the next year.

Thief, Infamous, Destiny, Watchdogs, Driveclub just to name a few. Be patient. The games will come.

Sucks that you don't have Titanfall/Halo to look forward to(if you're even into that type of game).
Destiny looks fun too.

Seems like PS2 had a pretty shitty supply of games at launch as well. Maybe because of my lack of money when PS2 came out, but it didn't seem like 360 was as bad.

It's disappointing, the games, especially ghosts,bf4,ryse
But the worst part, and the dumbest thing, is that there isn't 1 farking game for Kinnect(dance dance, but c'mon). So they made us buy the farking thing, but couldn't put out 1 fricking game for it.
Seriously, how can they not have 1 game for the damn thing??? That is shitty part, considering we had to buy it.

What? I will give a list of all the games I own for mine:
BF4: Play it all the time
Ryse: Great for short gaming sessions, looks beautiful, but can get repetitive over an extended period of time. The multiplayer is pretty fun
Forza 5: You obviously know about it
Dead Rising 3: My favorite of the Xbox One titles so far. It is a game that is just pure fun. Yes the storyline may not be all that great and the graphics are not top notch, but it is the most fun I have had playing any of these games. The ridiculous numbers of zombies on screen at once is just amazing.
Assassins Creed 4: 2nd favorite AC game. It looks great on the One.
NBA 2K14: It has had its hiccups due to 2K being shitty, but the game itself is great. The 2K mycareer has always been one of my favorite video game modes and it has just gotten better with the addition of a story line and cutscenes. Game looks great as well.
Peggle 2: My favorite of the "arcade" titles. Entertaining and challenging game.
Powerstar Golf: Fun golf game with some RPG elements. I really enjoy being able to see my friends records in the game.
Halo: Spartan Assault: Haven't played too much of it yet, but it is okay.

They included it because of the voice commands that are great. I hate going back to my 360 and not having them. I occasionally find myself wishing other appliances in my house had voice commands.

The PS4 is actually in a worse position. At least Xbox has Forza and Dead Rising 3.

Yep, this is just sort of the dead period for games. Things start to really pick up around March.
