Please be this. Release in the next 2yrs and that wil crush consoles.

EDT: The second one's Dual CPU power is dumb, wtf would they need that for?

The first one sounds like a troll because it is shtt.

The second one sounds like a troll because it is retarded, and not in a good way in every area.

Do you truly believe the Wii U is on a 6 year trajectory?

The original Xbox had a 4 year life cycle and sold about 23 million units. Given how poorly the Wii U is performing, I don't think it's implausible that Nintendo could release their next console in 2015.

Probably a 5.

November 2016 would be my guess.

The interesting, and maybe only plausible thing in all of this is:

What this could be is one of the smartest things Nintendo could do...merge their hardware lines into one capable ecosystem. A slightly underpowered console paired with a controller/portable system.

It's the only way to streamline production on the whole seeing as how split their division is always split down the middle trying to churn out titles for both.

If Nintendo could develop a cost effective enough system for that and THEN release their back catalog en masse to both systems, that's gold. Imagine FINALLY buying OoT playing it on the big screen at home, then taking it with you on the road. (That would justify their often high prices) If they can make a system that can play 3rd party games, well that's just icing on the cake.

that was the second thing that came to my mind when I saw the name "fusion" with the first being Metroid.

it kind of seems like they are on that path with the WiiU anyway.

I don't see why they really need to try to match graphical power with Sony or Microsoft when they could just release a really powerful portable that you can also hook up to the TV.

Exactly. If there is any truth to it, other than being a ridiculously early prediction, it would be nice at least in concept.

They have to figure out a way to get powerful hardware for a decent price, and at least match up enough for ports.

I wouldn't say just a portable that hooks up to a TV, but something like the WiiU where the portable is just an extension of the console.

What if you could stream from your console over WiFi? That's fap worthy too.

The biggest thing for me, is make the special control system whatever it is completely optional and a purchaseable addon. The default control system needs to be something more conventional if you want 3rd party support back. Developers think it's a waste of time to have to do all this special shite when working cross platform.

Oh, and a better online account system to make multiplayer games easier to access and also making digital purchases feel more official!

Nintendo will drop support with the quickness if they need to. Being that the Wii U is tracking below every previous Nintend console, I doubt it'll last as long.

But if they release too quickly then they will be on the losing side of the NEXT generation, and off of the console launch schedule.

The best strategy is to hold out until at least only a year before the next gen.
