I've seen Dural and I think he's going to be solid. This offense is gonna have some growing pains. LF is coming but damn our WR depth is the worst I've seen in the miles era.

Way to early to say that. They have a whole spring, summer and fall camp to get better plus we are bringing in Quinn, Voohries and maybe Chi.
If you are expecting another OBJ and Landry then yes, it'll be down. Realistically though, I won't count out Diarse, Peterson Smith and Washington. We didn't need our TE's this past season but I think that'll change this year.

Time will tell...

Dural is going to be the #1 WR.

But, DeSean Smith and the TEs should have a bigger role. Young QB and inexperienced WRs. And Smith could very well be our best pass catcher on the roster next year.

Plus, we have Quinn coming in and hopefully Dupre. Both would see PT.

Darkhorse for me is Kevin Spears.

Not really worried about our WRs.

How many threads are going to ask about our WR depth?

I don't think 2007 was much better (with regards to available WRs).

We had just lost our two 2006 starters (Bowe and Davis, who were both 1st Round NFL draft picks). I do acknowledge that Doucet was more proven as the lone returnee than Dural is for 2014.

But other than Doucet?
- Demetrius Byrd (unknown commodity from JUCO)
- Lafell (caught only 5 balls in 2006)
- Chris Mitchell (2 catches)
- Jared Mitchell (1 catch)
- Terrence Toliver (unproven true freshman)

Yes, it looks better on paper than 2014 - but the differences are not that great. The main advantage for 2007 is that they had an experienced senior QB to get them the ball.

I find it hard to believe we will not be solid next year in the receiving department. With all the good prospects we have signed in the past and with the ones coming in I find it very hard to believe we can't find two wr's in that bunch to shine. TE is going to shine for sure. Only question there is the coaches not the TE's!

We could very well (its possible) to even have a better passing threat from the guys catching the ball than last year. TE will be awesome. A couple of wr's could be pretty awesome. So with the addition of a TE in the passing game that equals better hands down the field then last year. POSSIBLE! Hmmm.... and a QB that doesn't get sacked as often... probably a better line. Don't know if it happens but the sky is the limit.

In fall camp everyone was saying Diarse was catching everything. Now he barely gets a mention.

Receivers will not be an issue. Replacing Mettenberger adequately is. It won't matter who the receivers are if our quarterback isn't able to get them the ball.

Our depth is fine. Just inexperienced. We will be in the playoff.

Well then you should probably feel the same about A&M and Bama. We should be just fine then.

We're really going to miss Jarvis on third down. We're going to take a big step back there.

i dont understand how people say we will be fine. We coudlnt even find a 3rd WR this year, with a lot of these same guys on the roster. Lord knows we could have used one.
