The living legend deserves his own thread. Tom Waits is not only my favorite artist of all time, but also the most under appreciated song writer. I know he is in the HOF, but pop culture Hodors have no idea about the genius inside of this man. At this time I would like to compile a list of this board's top ten TW songs.

1st place will get 10 points
10th will get 1and so on.

Here is mine...

1)Telephone Call from Istanbul

2)Another Man's Vine

3)Alice

4)Swordfishtrombones

5)16 shells from a 30 ought 6

6) Tango till they're Soar

7) Hold on

8) Filipino Box Spring Hog

9) Gun Street Girl

10) Gin Soaked Boy

This was the hardest top ten I have ever done. I already want to change it. I could have easily done a top 100. But I am sticking with it. Are there any other Waits fans out there?

Love some Tom Waits... your list is pretty solid, but Going Out West has got to be on there....however...don't know what to take of.

A ton of love, just not one of my top ten. Put it on your list. We need more entries.

Love him... Rain Dogs is my favorite album, but I'll rank songs a little later when I have time to think on it..

Hang on St. Christopher is the first song to pop in my head...

put my baby on the flat car
got to burn down the caboose
get 'em all jacked up on whiskey
then we'll turn the mad dog loose

I love Swordfish Trombones. One of my all time favorites is Romeo is Bleeding. You've made pretty good list to start. I could see this thread ending up with every song Tom Waits has written.

Romeo is Bleeding is awesome in his live performances. I just hope I get enough lists to rank the songs.
