Knob Creek 120 proof single barrel

Bought the bottle. Have had a few over ice. Has quite a bite, anyone else had it? Thoughts?

I bought a bottle, but haven't opened it yet.
Did your local grocery get a couple of barrels specifically for them? Mine has a little metal label idicating as such, but it could just be a marketing ploy.

for a $40 barrel proof it's hard to beat. im not a big knob creek guy but i do like that one

typically barrel proof bourbons are uncut and unfiltered. your getting better, unmolested whiskey in the bottle. if you dont like the high proof just cut it down with distilled water. taht being said, this knob creek is not uncut/unfiltered

That is a really good price. I usually have a bottle of KCSB in my rotation. Its delicious. I have to cut it with a little ice, but I enjoy sipping on a glass for a while.

I got a question about the BP stuff... If it's straight from the barrel, how is it that every one is 120 proof and btac WLW and gts differs every year?

cause this stuff isnt "real" barrel proof or straight from the barrel. They proof it down to 120 and filter it. where as, like you said, a real barrel proof will always vary
