Yup, living the dream. Four days per week, all from home.

Anyone else here work 100% from home. Or just some work from home?

Any tips/ tricks that you can offer? Do you get more/ less work done? How do you not get tired of staring at the same four walls? Do you miss being able to fart in a co-workers office? Thanks.

I work from home 100%.

Yes, you want to get the hell out of there on the weekends.

Waking up whenever you want (within reason) and not having to get dressed every day is pretty sweet.

I'll probably give it up soon though.

I work from home or my truck 3 days a week. Truck when I'm fishing. I do still go to the office to shoot the shite every Wednesday.

Make sure your pantry is stocked. Nothing worse than having work to do and nothing to eat

Yup, it's a dream job for me. I don't like people that much, so I don't miss the office interaction. And I'm self employed, so I don't have to justify my goofing off on the OT.

You do have to have a good bit of self discipline. When it's time to work, it's time to work, no matter what foolishness is on the OT, or what's on ESPN, or whether the hot cougar next door is laying out by her pool.

I work from home a couple of days per week. I had a stretch earlier this year where I worked from home for about 2 months straight and it actually made me miss the office. I just wanted to get out. I think that working from home 3-4 days per week and being in the office 1-2 days per week would be the ideal situation.

I know this is going to be me. I've always enjoyed the personal interaction with my co-workers.

Then again...I'll be about 30-45 mins from the Ocoee River. I plan on getting a canoe or kayak pretty soon and occupying my days off with this. Should be a nice way to see something other than the same four walls of the office in my house.

I work from home 4 days a week. I am much more productive at home, using my giant dual monitors and a PC that can handle the level of multi-tasking I do -- also very quiet. Wife at work, daughter at daycare, no one to interrupt me unless I choose to answer the phone. It's not like I can be lazy with my line of work anyway, since I have to produce actual results by hard deadlines.

I love it, but it's not without its drawbacks. It takes discipline not to develop a sloth-like habit. I often go a few days without shaving, and I find myself staying up a lot later simply because I don't have to wake up at 7am the next day. Work and home life tend to meld together a lot more, too. Rather than being able to leave work at work, I tend to read and answer work e-mails at night, jump on a couple of tasks before bed every now and then just because I'm bored, shite like that which can kind of make you go stir-crazy.

I work from home occasionally and hate it, you'll miss the office after the novelty of getting up and working in your pajamas wears off.

On the days I work from home I have to go somewhere just to be around people or I feel like I may go crazy.

If you are a loner type though who likes to keep to yourself you may love it

I work from home about half the time. I would like to work at home more. Don't care for the office at all

My best recommendation is treat your home office like your are going to work- set yourself work hours, breaks and lunch-

I work hard early in the day and get done early-

It is flat amazing how much work you can get done when you don't have office people interrupting you all day long

I have 150 people under me and manage most of it via email through my 15 direct reports. It is great

Well, I'm going to maintain a VPN connection while working...so that will be filtered out. Plus I don't look at anything NSFW on my work machines anyway.
