If so, what recruits do you think we get to fill the remaining 7 (or 8) spots?

No way. I'm thinkin 21-23
1.) Valentine
2.) Speaks
3.) Young (hopefully)
4.) Maybe Kelly. jr?

No.

Way too much has to fall in place to fill this class after missing on so many prospects and possibly losing committed recruits.

Currently we are sitting at 18. Unfortunately, I think we lose Deondre Clark. I think we land:
Malachi Dupre
Derrick Kelly
Trey Lealaimatafao
& a surprise recruit

We finish with around 20-22 in this class.

depends on where we stand under the 85 player limit. In other words depends on attrition. Have no clue where we currently stand relative to that limit.

agreed except add another WR (Holland, Porter, etc)

20 - 23
(wider range because of the potential of not getting that extra WR or getting him but losing Dupre)

don't see how that is even possible with losing 10 underclassmen "scholly's" last year and 5 so far this year along with Brazil. I would have to believe we could sign a full class of 25 and be fine with the numbers.

But with only 18 committed, I think there would have to be a few flips like "Speaks, Taylor, Valentine & Iheanacho" for us to hit 25 recruits assuming we get Dupre, Young & Kelly.

But as we have all witnessed from this years recruiting, those are all big assumptions. I personally feel we land 22 or 23 commits. Which in my mind is a slight disappointment and only in the fact considering the program we have built at LSU.

But if we have 22 to 23 recruits we should have at least a top 3 class across the board and that is pretty f*cking awesome.

Not a real chance we end up with 25, unless we land every one on our wish list. Realistically, I think we may end up with Dupre, Valentine, Kelly. We probably lose Clark, which gives us 20.

Speaks is interesting. Hes been all in for OM during the process, but I think his family is visiting. If so, at least that means he is giving us a serious look.

I would also like to think that with all of the WRs we have offered recently, we get one of them.

Maybe the new Oline coach pulls one more.

Adoree is still out there, but I havent heard anything about him lately.

Young appears set to leave the state, and Carter appears to be a longshot.

I think we end up with Adoree, Dupre, Speaks, Kelly and Valentine. That's 23 right there.

If we land Dupre I don't see LSU looking at another WR. I also feel good about Adoree lately, he's giving off a different vibe then what Speedy gave off at the end of his recrutment.

At the end of the day I think it's down to LSU or UF for Adoree. "Business Decision" means out of state college

In my opinion, If we added these guys this class is a huge success.

The 85 is zero issue at all.

which is why I think we sign the full 25, one way or another. And keep in mind LSU often gets that extra guy a week or two after signing day.

Would be great, but I think Dupre & Valentine are solid assumptions at this point. I have no idea how many we end up getting, but I don't think it'll be 25.

I get the sense many people on here don't really understand how this whole 'cruitin thing works. The 85 has nothing to do with why we likely wont take 25 in this class.

don't , brosiah !

attrition rates dictate not passing on 3-star "projects".
