quote:

The windmill is less than 2 millimeters across — small enough that about a thousand could fit on the surface of a cell phone, creating a sheath that could charge the battery, the researchers hope. They are also optimistic that the windmills could be manufactured cheaply using techniques from the semiconductor industry.

What is this a windmill for ants?!?!?!

How do I avoid crushing these tiny windmills when the phone is in my pocket or hand? Or are they so small that the windmills would fit in the tiny crevices of my pant fabric or tiny skin folds on my hands and fingertips?

The last thing I want is a thousand mini windmills on the back of my phone. Just screams "drop me once and I'm all fricked up!"

You could put one in your nose and charge it by breathing

Introducing the iPhone 9w. You can look like a fool blowing across your phone to charge it. Game changer.

WTH is wrong with Solar? There's always sun, but not always wind, especially inside. I could sit mine in the window here at work and let it charge all day.

So am I supposed to leave my phone out in the prairie for a few hours when the battery gets low?

So its small enough that you could blow it and create a power source? I know some girls that could be this countries alternative fuel source
