Fodder? Tweets? Insiders? Experts? Gurus? Locks? Friend of a guy that knows a trainer's ankle-taping protégés girlfriend's roommate?

Exactly what I was wondering. It's gets so frustrating seeing other teams pick their guys immediate while we seem to drag our feet. The really good coaches won't be waiting long for a job. However, the OL selection will be done in record time for Miles. Normally we have to wait long after signing day for a selection.

I can think of one or two that should have been thought about a little bit longer

The Lair is under the belief that Grimes has been hired. I still hope they can add KM in some capacity.

Grimes should be the frontrunner. If he's sincerely interested then you don't pass on him. Guy is one of the best coaches in the biz and also a top notch recruiter at the position. Take a look at that Auburn OL this year. He recruited them all and developed them for the most part.Did wonders with Greg Robinson in 2 years. Hes a home run if we can't get Borstad.

I understand quite a few people want Mawae but do we really need a guy that has no history at all as a coach or recruiter? If he's a bust then we are set back at least 2-3 years on the OL which we are already behind on. If he booms then great but can we afford to take that risk right now? I say no unless the pool is really just him and other unqualified candidates. You hire Grimes all day over Mawae

Miles does it the low-key way... without splasing names in public. He'll get the right guy.

I think this has been in the works for awhile. Im guessing we want to make a splash with the hire and will announce the day the dead period ends.

Scike just said on the radio that Washington was to be the guy, but Alleva declined it on account of money he wanted.

That's what Scike said.

He said Lsu already has the highest paid staff and lsu will be paying stud his salary next year. Said Washington just wanted to much money that alleva didn't feel like putting the university in that situation.
