Want to move further south

I really would like to move south of Birmingham within the next two years - my next to oldest son will be out of high school and heading out of state to college. My youngest is still young enough to move and meet new friends.
Move into the Florida or Alabama gulf, even maybe toward NOLA - something close to water. I teach but have only been doing that for a short time. Am thinking of trying something different, maybe starting a business, like I did for years. I'm mid-40s and want to do something else before I am too old.
Any ideas?
Any tips?

Ideas?
Don't be selfish and make your daughter lose all her friends.
Unless she's a dumpster fire then it might be good for her.

MS Gulf Coast
Small town atmosphere, relatively quiet except casinos, good schools--1 hr from NOLA 1.5-2 to Bama/FLA beaches

Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay
You're welcome
edit: Let it be known that Bama and Beer was the first person to mention the Eastern Shore in this thread and he was won 3 internet points towards being king of the internet. Bravo

As a fellow Blazer fan I gotta tell you, theres way too much on your plate to just move and start a business. The Gulf Coast is great but you need to look at teaching jobs to get on your feet and then look to start a business.
You are ptobably going to pay retirement/new money prices for the extreme coast but there are tons of great little towns just off the coast in FL, AL, and MS
