Wow it's sad just how commercial Ultra Music Fest has gotten. The last time I went it was getting bad, but now it's just EDM crap mostly. Lame.

With the exception of Carl Cox, Deep Dish and a few others, of course.

Explain what you mean about commercializing? I feel like these are the same progressive and big room house DJ's that have been headlining all the EDM festivals the past 4-5 years.

I think it is just a reflection of big room and progressive house DJ's still being the most popular options for festivals.

FWIW, I rarely listen to big room or progressive house anymore, even though I recently went to Hardwell at Echostage in DC and it was pretty awesome.

We did both and it was super expensive hitting up the clubs after being at Ultra all day.

Basically didn't sleep from Thursday to Monday morning.

But the day time pool parties look awesome.

I'll be seeing them one of the two nights in London in April

Ah yes, echostage.

Okay, I hate to be the guy that complains when a venue he likes gets popular, but echostage used to be a-freaking-mazing before they started filling it up fire code capacity and probably beyond.

Here's the difference: it used to feel like a club. Now it feels like a concert venue. I wish they would just move events like this back to the DC armory. It's too big to fill to the absolute brim like they fill echostage. It allows the back of the room to be more club-like and less concert-like.

I'll stop bitching. They get great acts and so props to them, but it's not as pleasant an experience for me now.

B/c it was an actual club. I used to go there way before it was Echo Stage. The Glow events would switch from there to another club around the block depending on who they had a deal with. It used to be called Ibiza

Saw AVB there Prydz and a few others.

Saw Tiesto at the other club can't remember the name.

I've lost count the number of times I have gone to Echostage, but I still enjoy it. Will probably see Tiesto there in March.

U Street is my jam though. Thomas Jack in Feb and Matoma in March...they get it.

I listened to the Porter Robinson album, and I strongly support it.
