Looking into getting a headset for my xbox. I have owned some Turtle Beaches a long time ago, just wondering if there is something better out there

Yes get some steelseries Siberia or something else.

I'll stay away from TBs, it isn't 2010 anymore.

So much that^. I love my Trittons, but I won't recommend them anymore since they were bought out by Mad Catz. I just don't trust that their quality is the same as they used to be.

1. Astro Mixamp (you can find them cheaper on eBay)
2. Audio-Technica ATH-M50 (you can find them other places on sale for under $100, usually)
3. Zalman Mic
4. ???????
5. Profit

Edit: not only will you have a setup that headsets can't compete with, you will also have a nice pair of headphones that you can use with your other media devices

Dude I hate headsets and look down on ANYONE who uses one.

Saying that, I wouldn't recommend a complete audio set up for console use. I know I wouldn't want all that shtt in my nice living room.

EDT:
Make and simple with a SteelSeries instead of basically building yourself one.

Look at the 9H, 5H and SiberiaV2. Amazon and other retailers should have cheaper prices.

I used one for my 360, and it was great. I didn't know he had his console in his living room

But TB x41s off of eBay are the way to go then. Under $50 usually on there and they're wireless. I used one for over a year and a half with no problems. Just don't waste more than $70 on a headset

I would think 80% of ppl who have one, have there set up in the living room.

I have a computer room with my set up, but the console stays in the living room.

For that price, sounds pretty nice... even if TBs.

I LOVE my Astro A40's. Most comfortable headset I've ever put on. I literally wore them for 5 hours straight and had zero want to take them off. Sound quality is good for console gaming as well. There are better options, especially for the price of making them console compatible, but I love these.

Whoa bro, let's slow it down a bit. So you're telling me that you wore your headset for 5 straight American hours?!

Do you even game bro!? I've went on stretches of 18+ hours more times than any adult should. Get on my nerd level!FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.

I'm partial to Sennheisers, they are like bronskied in the ears by two amazing pairs of breasts.

Which headset?

If anyone is looking for a headset over headphones, he is looking to go cheap.

I have the PC360s. Pretty close to the U320s for consoles.

I dont game with a headset but use mic/can/mixer/dac/amp set up. However I would like to hear how those Sennheisers compare against SteelSeries new 9H and Siberia seires.

Ive tried a ton of headsets in the last 3yrs and non really compared to the SiberiaV2s for the sub $200 price point. That was over a year ago when I stopped using headsets so i'd imagine better sets are out there.

For $50, these are worth it.

Don't use them for console, but use them for PC all the time.
