Should Les pull scholarship offers if kids decommit?

Seems like a pretty weak move to decommit at this point in the process when a school has committed to the individual player.
Unless the player is some kind of 5 star can't miss recruit, I wish Les would cut all ties and move on.

Should have a "you shop - we shop" mentality. However, it wouldn't be as effective this year with all the gaps we need to fill.

No solid answer.
Miles can do what he wants......so can the recruits.
There are repercussions on both sides for decommitting or pulling an offer. But sometimes they are both justified.

no. just because your dealing with 17-18 year old kids doesnt mean you have to act like one, however, if a kid decommits and we find a replacement thats better, oh well, shouldnt have decommitted. i wouldnt cut all ties, but i found someone better, yeah, sorry kid.

Depends in the situation.
Recruiting is far from black and white
We essentially just did this with that safety from north La because we were able to pull in Adams

No, unless they know they are going elsewhere

I think it depends on the situation. If LSU is running out of space in a class and a commit decides to go back on his word, then I would support pulling a scholly. These kids talk a lot about "business decisions" these days. The programs should be doing the same if that is the case. Just like in real life, your word means something, and there are consequences for going back on your word. Just my two cents.

I wish Les would give those iffy recruits the wrong fax number.
bash + fax machine = too much fun

The answer is in most cases no.
If there's someone of similar talent that's waiting for an offer, then yes.

Gee, I'm going to leave this up to Les and his coaches. They get to make this situation and they are the only ones who know the actual story. So, from this side of the computer, perhaps we should just STOP with the fake rage making.

No, it is all rainbows and unicorns.

Yes if you have a deserving prospect that was waiting on a spot but not offered because the position was filled.
I feel the only reason to decommit is if you decided LSU isn't for you. If other schools won't let you visit while committed, then it shows poor character on their part.
To decommit just so you can travel is a low rent move.

Every recruiting situation is different- the recruit can change his mind, but then so can the school. However, late in the game, any recruit that decides to change his mind, better be a 5 Star, because a school like LSU can pull in someone probably just as talented with a phone call. I was proud of the fact LSU pulled out of the D. Williams situation, and appears they did the same with Hootie Jones- once they committed elsewhere, LSU said 'no problem' and moved on to other recruits. In the case of Jones, LSU was probably even forced to get someone better in Jamal Adams, to fill a need. But the way things have gone this recruiting season, nothing is certain until signing date!

School can treat recruits like crap, but the recruits can't shop around?
Some kids get bumped, some get asked to greyshirt so I think a recruit is fine shopping around til NSD.
