I20goon, that picture of Saban and Kiffin is classic. Kiffin is so toxic, yet Saban hires him?

Here is the rub (or context rather) though... both were out of state kids. If Miller had been from LA, that would not have happened as per Staff's "preference".

What makes you say that ? After all the recruits that innocently changed their minds as to who was their leader and the ones who eventually signed elsewhere added with the kids who just want to get away from Louisiana and LSU it appears the shine is wearing off. The only thing Miles has going for himself is his ability to recruit. Maybe he should quit recruiting the parents and try to concentrate on recruiting PLAYERS.

that was a reference to LSU's "preference" (I hesitate to use the word Policy) to only offer in-state kids when they are certain they will accept the commitment. And accept the commitment at any time, so it becomes a de facto "hold the spot" for offered in-state recruits. So if Miller had been in-state, his EE spot would not have been given to Kiel. That's all I'm saying, it's not a player thing... it's a philosophy thing. And it's something I think needs to change after this year.

agree with this in many cases. While you still have to get the parents signature/blessing many times, it seems the traditional dynamics have changed where the kids lead the parents and not the other way around.
