Saints recievers getting bullied at line

Of scrimmage against physical Seahawks secondary last game. DBag Jon Ritchie on NBC pointing out how all of our recievers Graham in particular seemed to be unable to get off the line, were constantly jammed at LOS,
So what makes this game different?

You run a lot more bunch and stack formations, more motion. Run the ball effectively and then when a guy does get off the block clean make them pay, forcing them to back off.

Commitment to the run which will open up play action. Otherwise bunch formations will prevent them from jamming our WR / TE.

Been happening against good defenses for a while now.
We can't go downfield either.
Lance Moore seems to be done. He is a shell.
Kenny Stills isn't ready or consistent.
The whole offense revolves around short passing. When the running game isn't good and receivers are jammed at the line and the OLine plays terribly, it makes for some long days on offense. Then, Brees presses and throws dumb INTs because his mind is advanced beyond his physical capabilities at this point and he can't always do what he thinks he can do.
Brees is still a great QB, but just like Denver's offense changed with Elway his last couple of years, our offense has to start changing to continue to be successful. I think that we might be seeing that, but the first step is admitting that what we have been doing doesn't always work. And, Brees needs more help from edge players getting downfield.

Seattle secondary and Aquib Talib get away with a good bit too. They mug guys all the way downfield, not just at the line

Actually running the ball alone will not back those CBs off. They will stay in tight. You have to start hitting those play action passes and slants, and then they will be forced to give more cushion.

CSP will be in the refs ear even before the game on this subject. He knows what happened last time as he was asked by a reporter after a practice this week.
Just call it the same way for both teams is all you can ask.

You hope that Armstead plays out of his mind which allows the Brees to wait that extra second and frees up Payton to put another WR in coverage.
Press coverage slows down the routes, but if the QB has time, you can make big plays. Pass protection against Seattle in game 1 was poor.

Agree on the stack formation, great way to mitigate press coverage and try to free up Graham.
I feel confident that there were things in the Saints gameplan that Payton didn't get to against Seattle due to how quickly the game got out of hand.
I think he knew we'd see them again and didn't want to show everything in what quickly became a no win situation.

and Run babay run. Brees less than 30 passes means we win.

Between Pete, Sean, and Drew answers will be found.

The officials in this game called the Seahawks/Cardinals game if I recall correctly and Blueslover mentioned in his thread the same. In that game they hammered the Seahawks' DBs with 4 calls of either PI or holding.
Like Talib, they do it until they get called. Once called they get unsettled. It's unfortunate that the NFL officials are so variable in terms of calling it, but certain teams get away with it by reputation. Hopefully it won't happen in this game.

That's what the Patriots did the entire game. I think Jimmy was completely shut out in that game because he was mauled at the line every play. They were tackling every receiver at the line. Jimmy got usually 2 guys assaulting him before getting off the line of scrimmage. They really can't line up in a traditional formation anymore if the Saints are to have a chance at establishing a passing game. That, or, by some miracle, get a run game going.
