Is this terrible or just patriotic?

I got this to differentiate my pistol from others because everyone I know has one. Is this as bad as it feels?

I even cleaned it last night. And I am indeed a veteran. There is a difference between a veteran and a combat veteran.

My gun has both. It's the only 'safety' I have. My thumb is always on it until I'm ready to fire.
