OT teachers I come to you with a question.

Wife was just offered a job to finish the year out at a school. Will she be paid over the summer also? If not, will she be paid more just until the end of the school year? If I get good responses I will post pics of her feet.

Pics of feet THEN advice.

She will get her maximum daily pay at the end of each month. She will not have to divide the pay by 12 months. So, she'll get her salary times the number of days worked. After May 31, no more.

She can elect to defer or simply receive all of her monthly owed money through the end of the school year

yes. Fiscal school year runs through July. Or she can elect to recieve it all by May.
My Sis-in-law graduated in Dec and is starting her job teaching next week. She's getting paid through July.

If she's alive. Sounds like those flunkies ran off the real teacher.

No! They will pay her for the days she works. It may be split up to be paid out over the summer, but in my experience that only happens when you start at the beginning of the year. Both my wife and I started different places in the spring semester and we both didn't get paid over the summer.

I was told this lie as well. Went 2 months in the summer with no check. HR said "oops"

it depends on the parish
in EBR, you can choose to have deferred payment or to get paid during the school year (you get paid twice a month in EBR)
in LP, you get paid once a month, for 12 months

Oh and EBR told the wife that she wasn't a regular hire since it was half a year and gave her her termination papers with her final check. She was rehired over the summer but had to wait until August for a paycheck.
