Per Andrew Bone's twitter. Guess we can end the "Is there still a chance" threads. Tiger bait.

It will be interesting to revisit him in a year or two.

And we have them for 2 more years and the #1 CB in the country next year already committed. We'll be ok.

Tony's problems - shoulder and tackling
He will play early at Bama b/c he's talented but it will be interesting to see how Saban deals with the track and football schedules b/c they will need him to play next year.

He's got all the measurables ... agreed it will be interesting to revisit. this decision shocked me

I started a thread on here in the summer asking if there was any reason to be worried about Tony Brown going to Bama. Almost every response was some poster bashing me about how i'm an idiot and should stop worrying about Bama. Tony was an absolute lock.
Well, it's funny how things play out.

Alabama sprint corps announced the Tide's return to national prominence in 2013 by keying a run to an 11th-place team finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Track really factored in his decision

I doubt he'll ever see the track. If track & field were as important as he reportedly claimed, he would've gone to a quality program to refine his skills. There are many to choose from and Alabama isn't one of them.

The only quality two-sport option at Alabama is if you play softball & gymnastics. Can you image what those chicks would look like?

Don't have much respect for a kid that called up our staff and just straight up lied to them.

I am still not understanding what Saban's angle could have been in telling the kid that going to Bama was the best thing for him and his family. Unless there was a side deal, how is Bama best for you and your family when your dad is in a wheelchair?

We are set at corner for at least the next two years. Plus the guys we have now are versatile like Ed Paris and Devin Voohries.

Damn...this kid sounds like he had no intentions on going to LSU. What i don't get is the lying...just say you don't want to freaking go to LSU and move on. Why keep a school hanging? Would it be the coach he's going to play for that asks him to keep it quiet for so long so it screw up the competition? If not that then it seems like some of these kids just really had some kind of vendetta. The track thing is BS as most can figure since LSU has something in the ballpark of 40 nat'l titles from the track programs. Oh well, 18 year olds.....
