Are you going to seed? Or are you going to get banned?

I have IPTorrents invites and my question is the same as Lew's.

What I like about IPTorrents is that you earn points for leaving your client open and seeding, even if nobody is downloading, and you can use those points towards a little bit of upload credit. Still, I like to find a popular torrent and download it just to seed it (e.g. brand new movie/game/TV episode or anything with a ton of activity), helps offset my other downloads that nobody else seems to want.

My BitComet stays on perpetually. I usually seed to 2.0 (twice what I DL)

Is this really the right place to be promoting piracy/theft(aka criminal activity)?

Pirating screws over the entire industry

I am against it

If you really appreciate a good game or movie you'd reward the developers for their work rather than steal from them and dis-incetivize future projects

i'm pretty sure everyone here just downloads something to try it

i'll usually watch the first 15 minutes of a movie...and if i like it, i'll turn it off, delete it and then go see it at the theater or rent it

If the publishers really want to combat piracy, they need to work better with people like Netflix and other potential streaming services. It is IMO the way of the future and I would gladly pay more for my subscription to Netflix if more shows and movies were available on the service. I'm not going to pay $10 a month on top of $150 cable/internet bill to watch old episodes of the Sopranos.

I am willing to bet shows like The House of Cards are barely ever pirated. Or at least a lot less.

I just watched Lone Survivor. I'll be watching in the theater and buying the Blu-Ray. Yay piracy
