Seems very low for a national championship in that venue

Nobody wants to pay $1000 to watch a blowout

It's not your normal thread because i am actually in Los Angeles and debating going. Was surprised they were so low.

I don't think Auburn blows them out by that much.

I'd go for $300 if I was in the area. I doubt you'll see another title game in a while with tickets this low. Plus it's the last BCS title game.

I know its been talked about before, but its been shocking how low the turnout for most of the bowls has been. The Orange Bowl looked like it had 20K fans there.

It can't be the economy, no?

Well, it IS the largest BCS championship venue also. So the supply is greater than it would be if it were held in a different stadium.

Auburn going in 2010 doesn't help, but I don't think that is much of a deciding factor. Anecdotally, I went in 2010 and I'm not going this year, but I know a lot of people who didn't go last time that are going this time.
Rose Bowl is the biggest venue, and that combined with the distance for both teams is likely the issue. We tried to find a way to get out there last minute, but ran into a wall with flights.

Hosting a team from Michigan and California. I wonder why.

Very true. Although, if MSU were regular RB visitors, probably not. But 1st time in 26 yrs (and it being 100th RB), drove it up for sure.
Although I found pretty good deals right before I took off, this one won't be an exception.

It's stupid to expect AU/FSU to fill the biggest CFB venue across the Country. Especially with many flights getting canceled.

I think most of those posters were hoping for OSU to be the game.
