This is the way to do it that makes sense. Don't make south Louisiana kids stand out at the bus stop when it's 17. Let it warm up a bit.

The heat in my classroom hasn't worked all year. This morning it was in the low 50s. I imagine it will be in the 40s tomorrow morning.

It would give parents ample time to make arrangements for their kids to be taken care of all day and get them there to still go to work on time.

Nothing on Ascension's website yet. Anyone heard anything about that?

easier to find someone to watch kids all day then it is to find someone to watch the kids for a few hrs and get them to their schools. especially having one in elm and one in middle, which starts at different times and different locations

Kids who are brought to school by parents can still be dropped off at school at normal times. As I said the teachers will be reporting on time.

I'm cool with that. Don't really understand delaying or canceling school unless we have some snowfall.

Whatever committee got together and decided this should all be fired.

Wasn't Pat's coats for kids designed to address this? Students are so poor they don't have coats. Give me a break.

What about Wednesday? It is supposed to be 24 degrees. I guess little Johnny will freeze at 17 but at 24 he will be just fine.
