Headed to nola this week and craving oysters, where's the hot spot?

I've had Acme, Felix's, and drago's... Anywhere else I need to look in to?

Best thing by far.

Remoulade has a very good oyster bar.

Outside of Dragos & Acme I don't really know of a place that does really good charbroiled. If that's what you are looking for I'd go to Dragos. With raw you'll have more options. Not sure how good Felix's is right now, haven't been there since they had their issues.

Sounds like you should just get your charbroiled fix at Dragos and then move on to the next spot on your dinning list.

A big YEAH. It is one of my three favorite restaurants in the city.

Great oysters. Raw, CGed or fried. Different take on sandwiches, served on buttered texas toast intead of french bread.

Crab claws are great. They fry everything in lard and don't even have a deer fryer. Just pots of molten lard on the stove top.

Damn... I think I'll give them a shot.

Drago's isn't an option really bc last time I went the oysters were the size of peanuts.

They are only opened from September to the end of April. Place is close to 100 years in business.

I did, my post isn't showing.

UncleJD, if they soft shells a must order. Either as a platter of a "loaf". They sometimes have speckled trout and that is great as well.

Being from Lafayette, DO NOT order the gumbo. It is a creole italian version. You won't like it.
