Are we still in the playoffs with Brown and Hartley in the lineup?

CSP took a lot of heat for making those moves.

Why do you like thinking about terrible things?

Huh? That's a legit statement.

I said the same thing after we won.

We don't win Saturday had Payton not made those moves IMO.

My exact words when Graham knocked the game winner were "and you know there's no way in hell Hartley makes that and/or all of the other ones throughout that game.

You have to give Payton some incredibly huge props for making those moves despite everyone bashing it after Armstead had that terrible first half against Carolina. I mean he practically erased Trent Cole, one of the best pure pass rushers in the league.

I'm not saying it's not legit, but I don't want to think about something so terrible.

I said this several times the other night, but I think I called him Hartley.

Nope.

Hartley just doesn't have the confidence and consistency right now. No way he would have gone 4/4.

And Armstead did an admirable job Saturday against Cole. I doubt Brown would have done that well.

here? don't remember press on it. I would have said consensus here was with him on those moves. When he said he saw enough of Brown most said amen. When the emo left most said about time.

I love Payton's no nonsense approach to personnel. Certainly some guys accumulate loyalty points but ya ain't sticking without producing. Stinchcomb comes to mind. He prolly could have stuck around the NFL more years subbing. When he couldn't do it at championship level he retired. Most were crying for Sharper to continue ("he couldn't be worse") when he couldn't even make any NFL roster anymore.

He got a lot of justified heat for moving Brown, here and in the media. While Armstead seems to be the future, I still think that move cost us the Carolina game.

No one cared about Hartley, he had been on the edge for years.

I had a huge debate with a friend after the moves, and I stood my ground that both were necessary and the right call. Paeyton would never have swapped Brown for Armstead if he didn't feel comfortable that TA was prepared enough and ready. Hartley was 2 years too late, so that was a no brainer.

We would be watching SF/SEA this Saturday without those moves

No rational thinker gave him a hard time for benching Brown.
