The last few times I've been out, we've been coming in pretty much empty handed. It's been so depressing I didn't bother going out today.

I got fuel at Chef Harbor the other afternoon and asked Louie the same question. There was a boat already picking up and Louie said "Axe dat guy." I said "He didn't catch any."
Louie says "Well, it ain't June, it's Decembah."
We caught a couple by the locks and the wall by the GICW.

It's cold out. Try the hot water canal and the deep holes.

Hot water canal is filled with lady fish and other small bait fish. A couple of guys trolling out in deeper waters caught some fat specks but they told us it took all damn day. The fish are out deep.

We tried Hot Water. Nothing, that day.
It's a great spot some days, especially on the weekdays when the yahoos are at a minimum.

Went Sunday to oak river. Caught our limit by 11:30. All schoolies but had fun. Had bites on every single case.

Oak River... The 1-mile stretch of oak river where it intersects (1/2 mile to the east and 1/2 mile to the west) the North/South Pipeline (aka: Pencil Canal)

I've always had success there in cold weather... (but I haven't been down there in a couple years though)

MeauxJeaux2 was out there today with Capt Scott Walker and he posted they limited on redfish. (He said they were on oak river but didn't say exatly where.

Oak river has deep water, 15'-20'. Usually holds fish in the winters.
