I realize this is Germans as fvck, but I am just catching the second half of the game for the first time. How the hell did they overturn that call and call it incomplete? It wasn't close. Absolute crap decision.

I know I'm two days behind here, but that was such bullshite.

I'm with you, especially since it was ruled a fumble originally.

There were a number of bad and/or missed calls in this one going both ways.

The missed fumble in the first half was even more blatant. IMO

I think they were trying to make a game of it, honestly. There's no way that call should have been overturned.

What was the deal with the subbing that Ferenz was so pissed about? They never showed a replay to see if Iowa actually did sub or if the refs just blew it.

They subbed. 8, 86, 87, & 89 were the receivers in on 2nd down. 4, 11, 86, & 87 were the receivers in on 3rd down. I use the term 'receiver' to generalize the players who were substituted & not as a specific designation. Tirico & Gruden missed that one.

Figured they did since the producer never ran a replay.

The ref's really made the gameplay seem sloppier than it had to be. I'm just glad there were 4 other games on so we weren't the center of attention.

The refs went full retard at 11:17 in the 4th when they let LSU sub against no subs by Iowa. Ferentz was mad as frick too. Then they called an illegal sub on LSU to make it a first down.

Yeah, the refs were terrible. Not in a "baww they cheated for da Hawkeyez!!" way, more like a "Do you even know what the frick you're doing?" kinda way

Iowa did sub. I checked it out on da hoppa. It happened when they zoomed out and had a graphic up. You can see them switch out players. Ferentz is a douche.

We didn't match subs right away. Iowa had a right to be a little upset but the refs should have stood over the ball until we were done. We had 12 men on the field when the ball was snapped. I think it was rasco about 2 yards from the sideline when the ball was snapped.
