Got an XbONE today - Any tips?

After owning PS1, PS2, and PS3, I decided to jump ship to Microsoft this generation (nothing against PS4, just figured I'd change it up and I like the TV integration).
Any advice from Xbox One owners, such as: Good (free even) game downloads, apps, little known but useful voice commands, or whatever cool stuff you know that might not be known right out of the box.

Set up the Kinect first thing
"xbox select"
"snap" is pretty cool, but I haven't found much use for it.
Skype video (kinect camera specifically) is very cool.
And run your cable/satellite through it

On the controller connecting screen don't listen to what it says. You have to hit the button on the side of the XBone and the button on the controller that has the wifi bars next to it and then hit hit the round xbox button on the controller to connect it. All it tells you on the screen is to press the round xbox button... pissed me off

go digital with games you know you will play for along time so you can take advantage of the voice feature allowing you to switch between any and all downloads
get forza
I've never tried the NFL app but if your a fan why not
when your in snap mode double tap the Xbox button on controller to switch between the two
if you get a party invite and miss it because your in the middle of the game go home and at the top is the notifications you missed and you can accept it from there

As stated, setup all of your connections first(cable, TV, surround sound). It'll take a second to get the voice commands down:
"Xbox: go to _____" opens apps/games
"Xbox watch channel ______" will take you to a specific channel
"Xbox go home" obvious
"Xbox volume up/down" turns your TV(or surround sound) up or down three levels
"Xbox on" powers up
"Xbox turn off" "yes" powers down
I've stated it before, but there's nothing better to me than simply having to say "Xbox on" and watching my ONE power up, followed by my TV, cable box and surround sound.

Seriously J, it took me that long to get my first disk uploaded to 1%. Then speeds up, and let's you play somewhere in the teens while it finishes in the background.

Ok, thanks. I actually paused it to download the blu ray DVD app. I mean, it is actually recognizing the game as Ghosts, so it must be capable of reading disks.

It took forever for my ghosts to install as well. Try turning off the console, unplugging the power cord for 30 secs, and then turning back on. Did the trick for me.

Never played because I have an XGC COD squad. shite with BO2 we were ranked #3 at one point.
I'm down buying BF4 though and giving it a whirl. Got ghosts for free so I'm willing to buy games
