Wild Pig Infestation

OK so we have a bunch of pigs on our land. Im hunting yesterday and a bunch of wild baby pigs come running out of the grass to eat on my corn. My wife is in the stand with me and after I tell her that their eye sight is not really good and that she could prolly catch one, then she wants to try. Here are a few pics and a couple videos.

i caught one once. ran itno them in Red Dirt, and chased a baby down until it ran out of breath, not long. little bastards will try to bite you.

They are all still living. I was waiting on the mommas to come out. I have been hearing them everyday for a few weeks now but have only been able to kill 3 big ones. There are a bunch that just want come out of those weeds to the left of her in the video. I wish I would have had my shotgun loaded with buckshot.
I told her if she would have jumped then she could have got one. You can see in the video, instead of just pouncing she slowly turned and they caught her moving. Kinda glad she didn't catch one. I have caught them before by hand and the big hogs come running to the rescue. It could have gotten bad for her. I had the gun ready to start shooting just in case she was successful.

approaching striped piglets unarmed is shear foolishness. I am glad you did not have to trade the wife in for a younger model. You are lucky mom was nowhere to be found. That many piglets without a sow means sow is dead somewhere.
Those piglets will be 60 lbs plus in 6 months and 100 plus in 9-12 months.
Kill em all and let the coyotes sort them out.

My brother put three rounds of 9mm into the mom a week or so ago. I originally thought she was dead cause I saw only the babys. But then we heard some bigger pigs and the wife came and got back into the stand.
We have been shooting, trapping, catching by hand, and putting dogs on these pigs for YEARS. We will never kill them all, but sure is fun trying.
