Stories from the camp

What are some of the stories you have heard at the camp?
This weekend I heard several but these two are something
Guy said he shot a cow elk in Colorado at 540 yards. Dropped her in her tracks right where she stood. All with his 243
His dad and uncle were night hunting in Morgan City. Heard some screams. Tracked it down. They could smell it, then they heard it breathing. His dad looked up and shot the Black Panther that was right above both of them. It fell dead on his uncle. 8 foot long from head to tail. Said black panthers were a common road side road kill back in Morgan City back in the day. Seen it with his own eyes
Impressive

i got attaked by a armadillo while eating by the tent.
story:
Sitting down eating some fried backstrap when i hear some rustling and them BOOM 2 dillos come running under the table and hit my chair, I fly out my seat and scream like a little girl. The dillos run off before my dad knew what the hell was going on. weirdest thing ever, a pistol was near by after that

My first buck was my last. A monster 10 point with huge symmetry at 12 years old. I have never seen another buck that bests him so I just kill does and leave the bucks for you guys. I really don't love deer hunting. Rather pedestrian.
But my best camp story is when old Dr. Hendershot tried to bed up with the cleaning girl whilst her man was in camp cleaning the shitters. Them were some fireworks!

I had a buddy deer hunting with me in the marsh below Amelia, claimed he shot a rabbit with his bow while it was on the run. He said he could get it because the marsh was to soft and he was only wearing knee boots......

How far above that animal would you have to aim to hit it at 540 yards with a 243?

Bullet missed. Elk had a heart attack.

I have a bunch but this is short true story. Don't have much time to type.
Here goes. We had a guest that was a little darker skin than most(not African American). We had just got done eating dinner and cleaning up. It was kinda late had a few deer to clean and everyone had been drinking pretty heavily all even. Time to get on the card table and break out the whiskey. Been playing for a while and a member asked the darker fellow(thinking he's Mexican) how he felt about us Americans taking some of there land south of original us border. He was dead serious and everyone was laughing. He said(darker fellow) I heritage is Indian. Member kinda embarrassed sat for a few seconds speechless and said"well didn't we take some of y'all's shite as well". We are all rolling in laughter and the guest was a great sport about it. He actually said no we just decided to give it to you Americans.
I hope y'all enjoyed it and when I get around a computer I'll try and post a few good ones. I always love threads like these. Reminds you of all the great memories you had the camp with fellow outdoorsman.

Boiled crawfish for the rednecks at the camp in MS. There was an old man who only had one tooth. I gave him an ear of corn. He told me to GFM and then laughed his arse off

Less than a .308.

Around 40", not a terribly difficult shot depending on wind and elevation difference.....

Surpised you would hangout with somebody willing to commit adultery and fornicate outside the sacrament of marriage

When did I say anybody committed adultery? I never said the toilet scrubber and deer skinner were married. You must not be familiar with the notions of ol' ladies and their men.
