I'm glad thus steaming pile of dog shite is ending. I like that it's based in NOLA but the story is garbage.

The episode tonight (I haven't seen it yet) is the last one? How are they going to tie up all of the loose ends?
Is Davis going to be the voice for the Rampart clubs while getting the Jazz Center built with Hidalgo and getting serious with the Chef?
Is LaDonna going to reconcile with Larry with Big Chief dead?
Will OPP and the NOPD be brought to justice for their Civil Rights abuses?
Will the detective retire and live out his days with the widowed lawyer?
Will Annie Tee choose her Bayou Cadillac over Nashville fame and fortune?
Will the Dutch guy ever make enough money to not have to work for his wife's father on his shrimp boat?
Will the trumpet player be able to take his father's death in stride, take over his father's role in the tribe, and become a loving father and husband himself?
Will the trombone player become a good father while becoming a voice for NOLA residents trying to stem the violence?
I need answers!!!

Every one of those plotlines sound like dog shite.
Posted on 12/29/13 at 9:04 pm to kingbob
I wonder if they ever developed a plot for this shitty show.
Posted on 12/29/13 at 9:09 pm to kingbob
That pretty much sums it up.

I LOVE the show. If you had to move away, you'd miss BR/NO. I do. It reminds me of the good old days. Move for a job, where everyone is a backwards redneck and hates LSU. I watch the show and I recognize streets, houses, restaurants, music ,bands/singers, etc. I love it.

I love the fact that it's local. I hate the endless "poor fricking New Orleans and Katrina" bullshite they nonstop parrot.
New Orleans is a great setting for a show. It is a poor plot for a show. They took a great initial idea but forgot to add a fricking plot line to the show.
And we get it. New Orleans is unique in its music. But not everyone in New Orleans is a musician and you could maybe cut away after 30 seconds of a song. But Simon decides to shoot 30 minutes of music for a 1 hour show.
And the treme is a dump. It is not this glorified gem they want it to be.

I feel like I'm watching an impromptu documentary that 1 man with a camera decided to shoot, but he didn't have a plan or an idea. He just grabbed a camera and said, " I'm going to make a documentary" with no goal or subject in mind. The show is mass confusion propped up by pity, hipster celebrities like simon and bourdain, and has about as much depth as Kim kardashian

They really dropped the ball on this show.
The premise was there.
