I am putting aside a few dollars for a whitetail hunt. Looking to go spend a 2 or 3 days at a nice place to kill a buck bigger than what I kill on my place. I have quite a few 8 pt scored 120 or so. Would like to have some pigs thrown in too, anybody have recommendations or went lately. Kieth warren's place looked pretty good to me at double occupancy $2500. I will be going with a buddy. Looking to go most likely next season.

Why you say that? Looks like a lot of sites show 130 range for $1750. Warren's site shows 130-140 for $2500. I was wondering if anybody had some definite places to stay away from or good experiences.

Record buck ranch. I killed a 139 inch deer there 2 years ago for $2,500.

Greg Simons
Wildlife Systems
He has numerous ranches all over Texas. Has everything from high fence trophy ranches to free range, well manged ranches. Very professional outfit. Guides and cooks are top notch. You will have a great time. What you kill depends somewhat on luck, weather, and springtime rains. I hunted a couple of management hunts. Killed a 127 and a 131. Both were great hunts. I saw bigger and smaller deer killed.

Price should not be the only thing you use to judge. Call some references. Speak to people who have hunted with the outfit. Successful and unsuccessful.

He also has some great mule deer and aoudad hunting in the big bend region.

I wonder if I can start selling swamp hunts?

Gotta sell the "swamp experience" not a swamp hunt. Teach them how to split wood...
