Wife and I were sitting in the den and heard a door shut upstairs. Sent her and the kid in the bed room down stairs and headed up with Mr. Sig. Turns out the kids had turned the A/C on and one of the bedrooms doors was close to being shut and the A/C turning on closed it. But Damn that gets the blood flowing.

Sounds like someone is scared of the boogie man.

Should have prefaced this with the fact that we had guys working in the house all day, so the wife was on edge

Pulled up with the back door wide open. Turned out the kids did not shut the door when we left for the day.
I checked every room, closet, and hiding space

Woke up one Sunday morning to the sound of something walking up the stairs outside my room. Turned out to be the dog but things were tense in the weagle household for a few moments.

I've done it twice, once at my house and once for a neighbor. Both times it was just doors left open.

My dad did it several times for neighbors while he was a LEO.

The only thing that has ever shook me up a little was one night I was awaken by a loud crash. I jumped out of bed and ran into the living room and saw my wife's cat was getting up off the floor all wobbly. It had fallen off the upstairs rail while sleeping and landed on top of the TV.

A few times. Most of the time it was after the wife heard something. One time we did find the front door open. I had to check everything. Twice.

I was awoken one night with what sounded like the apocalypse in my living room, I sprung out of bed doing my best to keep calm without freaking out the wife. I told her to stay upstairs while I checked it out. I grabbed my trusty 870 and headed down. I get downstairs and the alarm is still armed and ready. My wife is then yelling at me that she thinks it came from another upstairs bedroom. I come back upstairs and clear the two other bedrooms upstairs checking under beds, behind doors, and in showers. I walk back in our room and she's laughing hysterically. She points to the closet. Her whole side of the closet had collapsed during the night under the sheer weight of all her god forsaken clothes.

Funny you ask ,just last night I could have swore I heard my garage door opening! I jumped up pistol in hand only to find it closed and the light wasn't on meaning it hadn't moved. I made sure nothing was missing and checked all hiding spots but boy did it get my adrenalin pumping! I had been asleep for about 30min and I guess I dreamed I was hearing it.

Not weird when it just happened. Checked under beds closets the whole nine yards. We had folks working in the house since like 9am. Wanted to make sure they all left if ya know what I mean

Had to clear the house with my Kimber with TLR when heard a loud bang on the door one night. Not sure what it was, but certainly was scary. Now sometimes I do it just for practice/fun.

No. I have cleared other peoples houses many times.

Also I have gone to the door with a gun when I get an unexpected knock at the door.
