English Pointer Breeders within reasonable driving distance of SELA?

Aren't there a couple of OB'rs who upland hunt? I think there was one guy who's dad had a bunch of pointers...

Just importantly better ask around for thorough bred breeder to so you have a shot at keep up with one off those big running bird dogs Bwahaha

Don't limit your search to SELA, decide what you want in from the puppy, locate breeders that breed the type of dog you want and then travel, if needed to get the type of dog you want. Make sure you understand the difference between field trial lines and non...

Yeah, I would go to TX, The Land Mass, Bama, etc... Just don't want to have to fly.

There is an English Pointer Rescue Organization. Was thinking of going this route if I could find one young enough. What's the OB's thoughts on rescue?

He definitely wouldn't be a field trial dog. Will train him to hunt, but will be mostly a family dog.
