I have never heard Les or a player make a remark about the other team's film not being impressive or giving them confidence that it will be an easy win.
Uhhh Alabama 2013, Anthony's the freak Johnson said Alabama front is soft that why they have no run game up the middle.
2008 vs Florida Ricky Jean francios said he was going to hit tim tebow.
There has been other instances, honey badger was known for giving people bulletin board materials.
So yeah.
On the flip side, those that doesn't trash talk us we beat, those that do LSU lose.
EX: Alabama 2011 " They are getting too cocky down there, we're going down there to restore order."
Alabama 2012 " we'll show them why they didn't belong in 2011."
Clemson 2012" We're the real death vallley and tigers , lsu is fake and a rip off."
2013 Ole miss " we're better then them."

Hawkeyes looked at film of the well oiled machine that is the O & D lines , saw the false starts. Illegal formation, delay of game, Encroachment and off-sides penalties, I can see where the confidence comes from.

I those are what other teams said to lsu and we did nothing about it. So iowa trash talking almost guarantee them a victory.

This proves absolutely nothing. Zero. Nada. This is as un-scientific as it gets. You are framing things to fit your scenario. I promise you, if I went & scoured the Internet for player/coach quotes from every team LSU played over the past decade (as well as quotes from LSU), I could cherry-pick enough to fit the complete opposite of your premise.

I don't think he meant it the way many (including myself) are choosing to construe it here. I agree with you, he was talking about the SEC as a whole and it was in reference to reality vs myth/narrative.

Most of us know that this thread is titled to stir up some shite from the more "firey" Tiger posters on this board.
The truth is that LSU does like to play man on man football and Iowa's players should recognise their game film as being very similar to their own style of play on many levels.
However, the catch is that this year's LSU team has a very impressive vertical pass attack with Mett at QB so if they truly don't recognize that as legit then they should be in very big trouble as long as our TF QB performs as expected. Everyone expects Iowa to try to make LSU beat them thru the air by stuffing the run so we should definitely get to see that passing game that I am speaking of even if it is from a diff QB.
