This thread is silly. The Iowa kids said nothing disrespectful about LSU. They were just responding to the incessant hype about the dominance of the SEC, which is well founded. But LSU in 2013 is not a dominant team.
LSU has more talent than Iowa but Iowa is a solid, well coached team. I'll be shocked if LSU wins by more than 14-17 points.
I won't be shocked, however, if the less-talented Iowa team wins the game. Losing to Ole Miss and having to rally at home to beat Arkansas don't fill me with much bravado.

Players should be confident. i would not be all that impressed with LSU film this year. gonna be a dog fight IMO. just care of business like we should and get ready for the 2nd

Damnit! Oklahoma player says Bama is the best team in the country and everyone knows it, and Iowa player says he is unimpressed by LSU and feels confident. Bama beat us again.

This helps LSU. LSU was confident they'd beat Bama on 1/9/12 bc they already won at BDS earlier. Iowa will learn from this like LSU did that day.

True, Jerm. The problem is that he doesn't think LSU is that impressive, but he's watching the Tigers against SEC competition. If they played Indiana or Northwestern, it's an entirely different view.

exactly...if i was watching two high school teams that were evenly matched, it might not look impressive too until you put the 5a team against a 3a team...not saying that iowa is 3a...just using a comparison

No matter how bad a team is that LSU will face, Les and the players always say things like "They are a tough football team and we look for an exciting game." I have never heard Les or a player make a remark about the other team's film not being impressive or giving them confidence that it will be an easy win. Hope LSU proves him wrong either way.
