What do you think of Elijah Craig 12 whiskey?

Just received a bottle as a present, I actually like it a lot. Not usually an avid whiskey drinker more of a beer man so when I do drink whiskey I usually stick to Makers and Jack. What do y'all think the people who've had it?

we have only bought one bottle of it and that was the small batch version. I thought it was quite good, but for $30 there's a few others I'd prefer.
