Delta Skymiles Problem

I've got 150,000 miles I would like to use on a new TV and the website says I have to be a card member to access the marketplace. Is this true? I can't find the sky miles shop anywhere.

Can you sell your miles for cash?

Too much trouble. I figured I could just go to the skymiles website and order one. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Market place is a terrible use of points. Bose earbuds are $100 at Costco/ Sam's Club and it costs 19,100 for them in the market place.
But yes skymiles marketplace is "Exclusively for SkyMiles® members with a Gold, Platinum, or Reserve Delta SkyMiles Credit Card."
I wish there was a way to buy the miles off you but sadly it isn't worth the transfer fee

So what the frick am I supposed to do with these points? Should I get a card just to shop?

If you are dead set on using the miles there yeah... Get the gold... Earn 30,000 extra miles buy bigger tv and cancel the card before the year is up
ETA: you could buy my gump fiancé a plane ticket for our honeymoon

Non Amex card holders can only use them for travel.

Bacon, why, why? My fiancé's little brother is a senior at gump university and that association is bad enough

No fricking shite... All of the stuff on Amex's mall is outrageous.
An iPad mini that is $300 in a normal store is like 47k points. The ONLY thing I use my points for is gift cards to retailers. You get 1:1 through almost all of the gcs.

I figure if the only thing I have to complain about is her football team, which I loathe, I am doing pretty good
But seriously I did something terrible in a past life to deserve this

As long as she has all of her teeth, sounds like a win
ftr, I almost went to Alabama. We owned hunting property over there and I became a fan of their football team in the early 90s when Barker and Williams were the big boys in college football.

What TV are you looking at getting for 150,000 miles? I'd be willing to work out a deal with you, planning an around the world trip and could use the miles. I believe you can transfer them pretty easily.
Nevermind, they charge $.01 per mile to transfer which would be $1500 plus $150 in fees to transfer the miles. I'd recommend hanging onto them. They're worth a lot more than a TV. 180,000 miles will get you a trip around the world with 6 stopovers
